The D-CRISP project is funded under the Antagonistic threats challenging societal security in the Nordic and Baltic countries call by NordForsk. The project aims to develop integrated solutions based on digital twins from multiple domains (such as public infrastructure, logistics, power grids, and production systems) to improve awareness of civil risks and strengthen societal preparedness. Digital twins act as “eyes” to observe complex systems, rapidly detect anomalies, and support early identification of antagonistic threats—both cyber and physical. The project focuses on modelling and integrating digital twins with human decision-making to prevent and mitigate threats in real time.
Objectives
- Model antagonistic threats: Develop formal models and validation methods for digital twins that capture cyber and physical antagonistic threats.
- Integrate cross-domain digital twins: Investigate seamless integration strategies for diverse digital twins to jointly reveal and address risks.
- Human engagement: Design ways to involve stakeholders effectively in detecting, reporting, and responding to potential threats while safeguarding privacy.
- Advance responsiveness: Use real-time digital twin integration to detect anomalies and inform decision-makers ahead of potential catastrophic outcomes.
