The long-term goal of the project was to model large-scale housing and transportation environments with a specific focus on Virtual Reality applications. Two theses were successfully defended on this topic.
One use case for the recreated city district is the possibility to implement virtual driving. With our present knowledge of Digital Twins and GIS, we are ready to develop this application further beyond the mentioned use cases.
Although currently the project is archived, it can be taken again as a student project for further development.
